BUYING A CAR

This is usually the fun part of the car swap experience, but the risks are high and sellers seem to go out of their way to make you feel uncomfortable. Trust is key and is not easily achieved. At Dropshot we can help reduce the risk and bring back the enjoyment.

Our service is primarily aimed at clients wishing to buy a secondhand vehicle, either privately or from a dealer. We offer a menu of services, you can opt for as much or as little of this as you like. The comprehensive offer is that for 2.5%*** of the purchase value of your eventual new vehicle we will undertake the following:

• Initial consultation to explore your car needs and preferences
• Preparation of shortlist of potential models and examples from the market
• Research into cost of ownership of shortlist models - eg factory re-calls, reliability data, tax, insurance, mpg and depreciation
• Assisted decision on target model, specification, price range and colour
• Search for available vehicles and initial fact gathering for each car
• Presentation of shortlist of available cars
• Viewing and test-driving of selected cars (with or without buyer)
• Preparation of vehicle condition report*
• Completion of HPI check** (identifies police, insurance or finance issues)
• Arrangement of RAC inspection** where appropriate
• Negotiation of price on behalf of buyer
• Preparation of Bill of Sale (where seller is private individual)
• Assistance with logistics of delivery

If you select less than the full menu, Dropshot's fee will be reduced accordingly. We will discuss your requirements and agree the fee upfront.
